About the Center
CRAFT is the Center for Research on AI, Future Education, and Transformative Technologies. The center brings together researchers from Istanbul Technical University and Boğaziçi University to study how artificial intelligence and related technologies can improve teaching and learning.
Our work combines two perspectives. From computer engineering we bring experience in artificial intelligence, human-computer interaction, robotics and immersive technologies. From the learning sciences we bring experience in science education, teacher education and design-based research in real classrooms. We design, build and evaluate educational technologies together with the teachers and students who will use them.
The center was founded by Assoc. Prof. Gökhan İnce (İTÜ, Department of Computer Engineering) and Prof. Dr. İbrahim Delen (Boğaziçi University, Department of Mathematics and Science Education), who serve as its co-directors.
